Ucraina

Ucraina is a project born to denounce the Russian invasion of 24 February 2022, to the detriment of Ukrainian civilians.
It is the creation of a large canvas, 3×2 meters, depicting a parent holding his dead child in his arms. The colors are those of the Ukrainian flag. Taking a cue from a detail of Picasso’s Guernica and a symbolic photo of the war in Syria, with this canvas I wanted to express my repudiation for the entire war.

We brought this painting to the anti-war demonstrations, as a symbol and a banner for peace.

Ucraina 2022 is a digital sculpture belonging to the “The.Golden.Art” collection. It is inspired by an old painting of mine, and represents a pile of cushions that recall the colors of Ukraine. Turning around, however, you notice that the pile of pillows falls, leaving a pillow in an eternal fall. The waiting and the eternity of a moment only always the key theme of my research.
